Our customer service representatives and outside salespeople will collaborate with you to put your project together. On average, our sales people have over 10 years experience in the field. We have a vast inventory of stock and custom dies as well as unlimited custom colors to choose from. Your representative will gladly guide you through the many available options should you need help.

When you call you will be asked for specific information about your order such as the label size, colors, application, and approximate order quantity you desire. If you prefer, you may provide us with your information on the RFQ page within this site. We will then prepare a cost estimate for you to review.

You may choose to provide artwork for your project or have one of our talented in-house designers help you design your label. If you have art in a digital format you may submit it through this site in our FTP upload section.

Once we are in possession of completed artwork it is prepared for running on press. Artwork is processed through top-of-the-line prepress software that optimizes the art for flexographic printing.

A calibrated color proof is then generated on paper and a digital version is generated as well. We thoroughly check the proof internally and then pass it along to you. When the proof meets your approval you sign it and return it to us and the order proceeds to the plating stage.

Plate making

In flexography, labels are printed using flexible sheets of material with raised areas
somewhat similar to what you might see on the face of a rubber stamp. Each different color of ink to be printed on a particular label requires a different sheet or "plate". These plates are created through our direct-to-plate process.

Using state-of-the-art digital plate-making equipment. Our plate process brings added color consistency, clean screens and higher line-screen density not previously available in flexographic printing.

American Label has flexographic and digital presses. This allows us to offer many different types of labels and flexible packaging. We also offer hot stamping and 100% defect detection when needed.

In the finishing department labels are quality checked. Final cutting, counting and rewinding onto specific core sizes for automated labeling machines is handled here. Sheeted items are counted and stacked. Labels are then bagged, boxed, and coded for shipping.

As your order is boxed it is checked against job information for accuracy. A packing slip is made and sent with your labels. American Label delivers along the Wasatch Front every day, or if you choose, we have regular pickup by multiple shipping vendors at the end of each business day.
